The Barrett Paving Materials Internship Program provides current college students with hands-on experience in the aggregates and ready-mix concrete industry. As a QA/QC Intern, you will assist with quality testing, data analysis, and operational support at aggregate production facilities. The program offers exposure to limestone, sand & gravel, and ready-mix operations while developing a strong foundation in industry standards for quality control, product testing, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Gain an understanding of the role of Quality Control in the construction materials supply chain.
• Assist with laboratory and field testing, developing proficiency with testing equipment and procedures.
• Learn and apply industry testing standards, specifications, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with plant and operations teams to build communication and problem-solving skills.
• Complete a project that provides value to both the company and the intern’s learning experience.

• Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer applications.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Education

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Geology, Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field.
