System One is hiring a Quality Control Inspector/Welding Specialist for a contract-to-hire, onsite position in Currie, NC.

Schedule

  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday–Thursday, 5:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Overtime sometimes necessary/mandatory

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing products or materials, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry standards.
  • Assist with moving materials throughout the shop as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand product and service requirements.
  • Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare final products to specifications.
  • Resolve quality-related issues promptly, participating in or leading problem-solving efforts.
  • Verify that container parts and dimensions match drawings within allowable tolerances.
  • Perform leak tests and other quality tests according to client procedures.
  • Inspect overall appearance and workmanship of completed units post-painting to ensure acceptable paint/stenciling.
  • Verify all accessible welds meet applicable weld codes per client-specific procedures.
  • Support audits and coordinate with internal and external customers.
  • Follow basic safety and quality procedures at all times.
  • Lift objects up to 75 lbs while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Wear proper PPE such as safety glasses, earplugs, and steel toe shoes.
  • Complete forklift certification as required.
  • Work scheduled shifts and hours as assigned.

Requirements

  • Dependable and responsible with good communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Ability to read blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Ability to measure dimensions, examine functionality, and verify product quality.
  • Experience conducting leak tests and quality inspections (preferred).
  • Welding knowledge (preferred).
  • Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Pass pre-employment physical/drug screen, background check, and E-Verify.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a team-oriented environment.
