Responsibilities
- Verifies precision machined parts, assemblies, and components meet engineering specifications using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
- Performs NDT inspections of incoming and in-process materials using radiographic and dye penetrant testing techniques.
- Records in SAP and on quality records the status of inspection of all assigned parts.
- Interfaces appropriately with all external and internal customers and suppliers, including source inspectors.
- Ensures product quality, workmanship, conformance to all applicable processes, requirements, and regular regulatory standards in accordance with the established quality assurance system.
Qualifications
- Successfully perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections using tools like pin gages, micrometers, and calipers.
- Have some technical proficiency and expertise in various NDT methods and equipment.
- Have ASNT Level II or III certification or be able to become certified after hire.
- Have a strong understanding of quality standards, inspection techniques, and documentation practices.
- Have an ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance with dimensional and functional requirements.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to nuclear manufacturing.
- Experience in SAP.
- Experience in precision mechanical inspection in a quality control environment specific to manufacturing.
- Commitment to being a team player with a flexible, positive, adaptive approach to resolving problems or changes.
