Quality Control Inspector NDT

Responsibilities

• Verifies precision machined parts, assemblies, and components meet engineering specifications using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Performs NDT inspections of incoming and in-process materials using radiographic and dye penetrant testing techniques.
• Records in SAP and on quality records the status of inspection of all assigned parts.
• Interfaces appropriately with all external and internal customers and suppliers, including source inspectors.
• Ensures product quality, workmanship, conformance to all applicable processes, requirements, and regular regulatory standards in accordance with the established quality assurance system.

Qualifications

• Successfully perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections using tools like pin gages, micrometers, and calipers.
• Have some technical proficiency and expertise in various NDT methods and equipment.
• Have ASNT Level II or III certification or be able to become certified after hire.
• Have a strong understanding of quality standards, inspection techniques, and documentation practices.
• Have an ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance with dimensional and functional requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to nuclear manufacturing.
• Experience in SAP.
• Experience in precision mechanical inspection in a quality control environment specific to manufacturing.
• Commitment to being a team player with a flexible, positive, adaptive approach to resolving problems or changes.
