About the Role
Leads and motivates a team to ensure quality performance, cost parameters, accuracy, and speed. Arranges daily team meetings to focus on smooth workflow and timely delivery. Trains new workers on department processes and operation of specific equipment.
Responsibilities
- Plans, assigns, and coordinates workload across the team
- Maintains continuity between work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
- Resolves operational or manufacturing problems
- Ensures daily preventative maintenance takes place
- Trains new workers as required
- Ensures compliance with quality, environmental, and safety standards
- Facilitates problem solving
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Skills
- Leadership skills
- Knowledge of machinery and software necessary for quality job performance
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Production/Manufacturing environment
- Requires walking, standing, bending, and lifting for long periods of time
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on a computer
