Quality Control Inspector - Day Shift - Monday to Thursday (8am - 6pm)
Overview
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our day shift team and support incoming inspection of molded and purchased parts. In this role, you’ll ensure components meet engineering and quality standards through precise inspection and documentation. You’ll play a key role in maintaining product integrity and supporting warehouse operations, with additional responsibilities in first article inspections (FAI) and cross-departmental support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for pulling inspection samples, based on the predetermined frequency of inspection.
- Visually examine inspection samples for physical concerns, as outlined in the Standard Process Instructions.
- Document concerns within the Quality Advisement system and notify the necessary parties to ensure the concern is addressed in a timely manner.
- As necessary, aid in running containment for quality concerns.
- Utilize the Nonconformance system to place suspect parts on hold, until they can be reviewed for further disposition.
Education and Skill Requirements
- High school diploma or one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to carry out simple instructions and handle standardized situations with minimal variability.
- Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities, exhibit objectivity and openness to others' views, give and welcome feedback.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Effective communication skills with ability to collaborate well in group settings.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
