About the role

As a Quality Inspector in the Spine division at VB Spine, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all purchased, in-process, and finished medical devices meet strict quality, dimensional, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of components and finished products according to documented specifications, drawings, procedures, and work instructions
  • Conduct label inspections and non-sterile inspections for non-complex implants
  • Accurately record inspection results in the computerized quality database
  • Transact parts in the inventory control system (JD Edwards)
  • Initiate Quarantine Tickets (QTs) for nonconforming product following prescribed procedures
  • Support and follow all company policies, procedures, and GMP requirements
  • Maintain established productivity and quality targets
  • Collaborate with team members while working independently on inspection tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall quality assurance goals

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; some college or technical training preferred
  • 0–2 years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing (medical device experience is a plus)
  • Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints
  • Basic knowledge and experience using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, video measurement systems, and plug gauges
  • Working knowledge of GMP compliance for Class II medical devices and ISO 13485 preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Excel, MS Word, and database experience
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Self-starter who can work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
