Quality Control Inspector 1 - Onsite (Entry Level) Urgent Need

About the role

Contract Quality Control Inspector position for a Medical Devices Company in Zelienople, PA. 12-month contract on W2 with 40 hours/week on 1st shift (Mon–Fri, 08:00–16:30) and some voluntary overtime available.

Responsibilities

• Complete inspections of materials and file quality records, including receiving files and non-conforming material reports.
• Maintain the receiving area in a neat and orderly manner.
• Check and unload incoming shipments; inspect received goods for quality.
• Work with other departments to resolve discrepancies and keep careful records.
• Count, weigh, or measure items against invoices, orders, bills of lading, or other records.
• Route items to various departments.
• Examine and unpack incoming shipments; record shortages and reject damaged items.
• Ensure all documents and materials received meet satisfactory quality standards.
• Perform various testing procedures and simple statistical analysis related to sampling.
• Provide supplemental quality support to ongoing projects.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of experience performing mechanical inspections in an FDA or ISO regulated environment preferred.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of inspection/sampling techniques and familiarity with ANSI/ASQ Z1.4.
• Familiarity with FDA QSR and/or ISO 9000/ISO 13485 Quality System Requirements.
• Knowledge of mechanical and physical inspection techniques (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and “do it right the first time” attitude.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents and operational procedures/specifications.
• Basic familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to utilize a computer to enter data and prepare reports.
• Ability to lift a 30 lb load from the floor.
• Majority of time spent standing and/or walking for more than four hours per day.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.

Pay

$18.00 per hour.
