Quality Control Ink Tech - 3rd Shift

Job Description

• Perform quality control testing of production batches of inks and coatings
• Complete associated clerical work (entering results into SAP, printing labels, filing, etc.)
• Perform 5S cleaning and maintain the area
• Establish and maintain accurate and complete quality records in SAP
• Perform color quality tests; make batch additions and adjustments
• Implement necessary and timely batch corrections directly to Production
• Calibrate and verify test equipment
• Investigate and analyze non-conforming batches (internal and external)
• Support Lean Manufacturing
• Ensure sample retention management
• Perform some customer proofing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Pass a color vision test
• Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs (MS Office) and other computer skills
• Be flexible to cover other shifts if needed
• Have excellent verbal, written, reading comprehension and good math skills
• Have 6 to 12 months previous Lab/QC related work experience
• Be able to stand for long periods of time
• Understand manufacturing operations and basic aspects of printing technologies (plus)
• Experience working in a high volume department (plus)
• Prior experience in Lean Manufacturing facility (plus)
• Trade or Tech school (plus)
• Availability and willingness to work overtime as needed
• SAP Knowledge (plus)
• Previous experience in the ink industry (plus)
