Ink Attendant

Ink Attendant is responsible for maintaining inks, adhesives, primers and lacquers for the press department.

  • Make needed inks; adhesives; primers and lacquers required to run machines.
  • Use PC to charge material to machines.
  • Return unneeded material to inventory.
  • Maintain daily housekeeping duties.
  • Identify hazardous waste and dispose in correct hazardous waste containers.
  • Manage waste or waste containers in satellite areas.
  • Label containers with an indication of the hazard(s) in the contents.
  • Inspect satellite areas to ensure good condition of waste containers.
  • Place hazardous waste in the correct storage location at the designated time according to RCRA regulations.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of TABE (Reading and Math) test.
  • Successful Completion of IVO certification training. (Industrial Vehicle Operator )
  • Successful Completion of JSA reading. (Job Safety and Health Analysis)
  • Successful Completion of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Reading/comprehension
  • Move 400 lb. drums using drum dolly
  • Mathematical skills
  • Computer skills
  • Knowledge of MSDS and P.P.E.
  • Knowledge of Ink Rooms at the Liberty Facility

  • The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
  • The employee is regularly required to work with others, but may occasionally work alone.
