Position Overview
The Quality Control Field Coordinator on site is responsible for supporting quality assurance and Lean initiatives at the assigned jobsite. The role ensures that project standards are met, and continuous improvement practices are implemented effectively on-site.
Demonstrated Knowledge
- Knowledge of installation methods, including but not limited to installation of exterior specialty metal, glass panel systems, ACM & IMP panels, Single Skin & Cement Panels, Louvers and screen wall systems.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist superintendents while onsite with day-to-day activities when needed.
- Communicate with GC quality control person and attend QC meetings when required.
- Understand manufacturers' installation requirements.
- Understand job specifications and divisions.
- Ensure all materials are securely anchored, fastened and aligned, ensuring water-tight and structurally sound installations.
- Communicate with the field installation team and report any observed discrepancies, changes and problems immediately.
- Strictly follow all safety and quality regulations and always wear appropriate PPE.
- Create/fill required daily or weekly QA/QC forms.
Requirements / Qualifications
- 4-7 years of construction experience, including supervisory or superintendent roles in commercial glazing or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial glazing and panel installation practices, equipment, and tools.
- Strong understanding of construction documents, reports, project scheduling, and job costing.
- Familiarity with applicable building codes, safety regulation, and quality control standards, and various other electronic devices.
- OSHA 30 Construction Industry certification preferred.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Complete understanding of Company Safety Health and Management Program.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift but not limited to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to the loud noise of construction equipment and traffic.
- Exposure to work near moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold (non-weather), extreme heat (non-weather), risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
