Quality Control Chemist

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm with occasional overtime.

Pay

$55,000–$65,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise testing and monitoring of raw materials, finished products, packaging, labeling, and reworks to ensure product quality
• Provide daily production support, including wet-chemistry analysis and in-process product adjustments
• Oversee wastewater treatment and monitor water quality for manufacturing
• Perform QA/QC laboratory chemical analysis, equipment standardization, and SOP maintenance
• Assist with rework of off-spec products or obsolete raw materials
• Support product-development projects as assigned by the Technical Director
• Complete any additional responsibilities delegated by the Technical Director or on-site plant manager
• Provide feedback for product specifications
• Ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate
• Conduct quality audits on warehouse inventory

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or a related field (preferred)
• In lieu of a degree, five years’ experience in a laboratory setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask
• Flexibility in daily schedule
