Quality Control Chemist

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory analysis on incoming raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products according to established procedures, including wet chemistry, GC, and HPLC.
• Prepare samples for chromatographic analysis and prepare standard and reagent solutions.
• Cook information flow within the laboratory and to internal customers.
• Access, input, and retrieve information from the LIMS.
• Dispose of raw materials, process samples, and finished products for use or sale.
• Ensure all laboratory documentation meets standards for completeness and accuracy according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and GMP.
• Document deviations in performance not anticipated or indicated in test procedures.
• Become proficient in performing routine GC and HPLC analysis, including integration and result calculations.
• Investigate customer complaints and OOS/OOT results, and implement corrective actions as determined by QC supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree minimum required, Chemistry preferred but open to Biochemistry, Biology with a Chemistry Minor, or other related science.
• Strong preference for 1 year of experience in a QC laboratory with exposure to physical testing, volumetric solution sample preparation, GMP/GDP, and LIMS or other lab sample management systems.
• General experience working within MS Office, including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.

Work Environment

• The position is for the third shift, Monday to Friday, from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Initial training will be on the first shift, Monday to Friday, for approximately 2-4 weeks.

Job Type & Location

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay And Benefits

• The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
