ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure daily quality testing and documentation in accordance with company standards.
- Work with other departments to maintain product quality and specifications.
- Comply with Food Safety regulations and maintain SQF certification through GMP adherence and good housekeeping.
- Maintain inspection-readiness at all times.
- Monitor food safety, food safety culture, quality, and facility cleanliness.
- Perform various analytical tests and checks on each batch, including acid, salt, viscosity, and color.
- Correct batches that are out of specification.
- Test fillers before each line startup.
- Test finished products for acid, salt, viscosity, and color hourly.
- Inspect labels, codes, and weights on finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Put products on hold if they do not meet specifications.
- Collect samples for shelf-life and microbial testing.
- Calibrate acid and salt titrators daily.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Food Safety Responsibilities
- Ensure product is free of contamination.
- Follow all Ken’s Foods Security and GMP policies.
- Report any suspicious activities.
- Inspect work area for product contamination issues continuously.
Essential Qualifications
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Take prompt and appropriate responses to operating conditions.
- Work in an unfatigued state.
- Accurately gauge lengths of time and distance.
- Accurately store and recall instructions in short-term memory.
- Cope with sudden changes in surroundings and/or emergency situations.
