About the role

Performs inspections of company products to determine conformance with specifications. Utilizes precision measurement equipment and processes associated documentation, including process tags, rework tags, and non-conforming material documents. Works under direct supervision and in accordance with instructions and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, including In-Process, Receiving, and Final inspections of parts and assemblies in accordance with applicable Engineering criteria, documents, and drawings.
  • Create and complete First Article Inspection Reports per customer requirements.
  • Perform inspections using coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
  • Perform functional testing of assembled units.
  • Coordinate calibration activities and maintain records of various tools, instruments, and gauges used for product acceptance or Verification/Validation.
  • Assist Engineering and Operations in the investigation of non-conformities.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and procedures, and complying with all applicable regulations.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and manufacturing sites can be loud. Requires wearing appropriate PPE in certain areas of the workplace.

  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Eyesight correctable to 20/20 is required.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
