Quality Control Advisor

About the role

Johnson Brothers Maverick Beverage is a leading family‑owned distributor of wine, spirits, and beer based in San Antonio, TX. This position will maximize warehouse picking and replenishment efficiencies through effective item placement and data analysis using company methods and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Utilize MS Excel and JBLC slotting tools to evaluate slotting locations.
• Assign pick locations for new items to optimize picking and replenishment while balancing workload across multiple work zones.
• Apply slotting strategies for all new product releases, including limited releases, seasonal products, and historical sales patterns.
• Analyze historical and forecast data to determine product placement for existing items to improve worker productivity.
• Generate Moves Lists for items that require location changes based on sales and JBLC slotting tools.
• Collaborate closely with the Warehouse Manager and warehouse staff on creative slotting solutions, considering slot capacities, location accuracy, and safety.
• Assign and maintain permanent locations and capacities in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Dynamically slot products using company tools to decrease pick times and replenishment activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager on an as‑needed basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability and experience operating a pallet jack and forklift equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with all organizational levels.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Exceptional organization skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Pay

$20.00 per hour

Schedule

• Sunday: 2 p.m. start time
• Monday through Thursday: 6 p.m. start time
