Quality CMM Operator

About the role

Flex‑N‑Gate is a leading manufacturer and supplier of automotive components. The Quality CMM Operator creates inspection programs for coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and ensures the machines operate correctly throughout programming scripts and tests. The incumbent is also responsible for gauge control and gauge calibration.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineers with reverse engineering, production support, and development of inspection plans.
• Perform calibrations of all equipment and maintain accurate records.
• Calibrate, maintain, and repair all CMM fixtures.
• Develop annual layouts.
• Handle the dimensional portion of PPAP for new products.
• Conduct repeatability & reproducibility (R&R) studies.
• Perform capability studies and statistical analysis.
• Maintain customer relations and provide internal support.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of experience in a related field with CMM programming; Polyworks scanning preferred.
• Extensive mathematical knowledge.
• Knowledge of basic computer hardware and application software.
• Detailed working knowledge of GD&T and drawing interpretation.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with database applications and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects.
• Highly motivated, service‑ and team‑oriented with strong attention to detail.
• Enthusiasm for challenges and new initiatives.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Demonstrated internal customer service and presentation skills.
• Detail‑oriented mindset.
