Duties and Responsibilities
- Operation of CMM and interpretation of CMM results.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, applying GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5 or equivalent) to inspection and production planning.
- Familiar with the use of all inspection hand gauging including but not limited to, micrometers, thread gauges, dial indicators, calipers, height gauges, etc.
- Ensure proper operation of measurement equipment by following operating instructions.
- Robust knowledge of GD&T, blueprint, and spec interpretation.
- Work and adhere to quality management systems and requirements (i.e., training, policies, procedures, document control).
- Assists Engineering and Manufacturing in the investigation of non-conformities.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and procedures and complying with all applicable regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Required Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings with GD&T standards.
- Experience with inspection equipment such as - Mics, Calipers, Opticals, and Micro heights.
- Extensive knowledge of software and database testing including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored jobs, and error replication.
- Strong understanding of GD&T application in manufacturing and inspection processes.
- Technical writing and documentation accuracy.
- Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage time effectively and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Education & Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in CMM operation, mechanical inspection, manufacturing, or GD&T application required.
- Aerospace experience OR AS9100.
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical certifications preferred.
- GD&T certification is highly desirable.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and moderate noise levels.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately in noisy environments.
- Must also have close, distance, and peripheral vision, with the ability to adjust focus and judge depth.
- Color vision is required as well.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.

COMPENSATION
- $28-$33/hr (final compensation will be determined based on experience).
