This full-time position is based in Toledo, Ohio.

About the role

Toledo Tool & Die is adding a Quality Auditor to our 2nd shift team to support our continued growth. We offer a clean, safe work environment and opportunities for advancement.

Pay

Starting pay of $19.00/hour with a $1.50 shift premium for 2nd shift. Weekly pay and 10 paid holidays are included.

Schedule

2nd shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. Must be available to work overtime, including daily, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Perform First/Last Piece audits to verify dimensions of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, taper and pin gauges, and dial indicators.
  • Authority to accept or reject finished items.
  • Inspect, test, or measure metal stampings being produced.
  • Perform weld destruct if in the Weld Department.
  • Input and/or report data generated from audits and other sources into various software programs.
  • Organize and maintain check fixture area.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, or confer with TTD Management to determine quality and reliability standards.
  • Red Tag containers that have nonconforming parts and establish clean point in production between good and suspect product.
  • Perform the essential job functions of Press Operator during significant downtime.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or TTD Management representatives.
  • Authority to stop production if unsafe conditions or poor quality exist.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must satisfactorily complete pre-employment screening (background check and drug screen).
  • Six months of previous manufacturing experience, preferably in a quality function within a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment (metal stampings background in an OEM or Tier I/II automotive supplier preferred).
  • Knowledge and application of Quality Systems, such as IATF 16949, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret information from gauges, gauge blocks, micrometers, taper and pin gauges, and dial indicators.
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Must report to work on time to support production startup.
  • Good physical stamina and coordination; ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and basic math skills; physical dexterity.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a factory is beneficial but not necessary.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Consistent attendance and willingness to learn.
  • Safety-minded.
