General Function
The Quality Auditor I is responsible for production/finished product inspection and quality control for all surfaced &/or cut and edge Rx work.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform and demonstrate excellent skills in reading of a Lensometer and interpreting results and findings.
- Demonstrate ability to interpret customers’ Rx requirements and have total understanding of the production work ticket as produced via lab software/operating system.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of all surface and finish activities and production tasks and ability to recognize and effect a “First-Quality” Rx with regards of product cosmetics and alignment.
- Serve as “quality advisor” to production supervisors and lab management and as required by Regional Operations Manager.
- Effectively troubleshoot all facets of production problems within area of responsibility to bring about acceptable production quality and service levels.
- Assure compliance with Network Operations Uniform Processing System procedures, including, but not limited to, calibration, Rx cosmetics, form/fit of product, et.al.
- Maintain work area in a neat, clean, and organized condition.
- Understand and follow all company and manufacturer’s policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all attendance & safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information.
- Willingly assist others as necessary to keep work current, meet deadlines or maintain an even workload.
- Cooperate with production supervisors and other employees and demonstrate a good attitude.
- Perform an acceptable quantity and quality of work on time as required.
- Provide proper training, work direction, and technical guidance for less experienced employees.
- Attend in-house or sponsored training meetings when necessary.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
- 3 years of production experience.
- Knowledge of ANSI standards applicable to eyewear is required.
- Have a near vision capability to 20/40 max with/without corrective prescription eyewear.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Pay Range
$19.50 - $22.00
