Quality Auditor I 2nd shift Monday - Friday 3pm - 11pm

Responsibilities

• Perform and demonstrate excellent skills in reading a Lensometer and interpreting results and findings.
• Interpret customers’ prescription requirements and fully understand production work tickets generated via lab software/operating system.
• Apply comprehensive knowledge of all surface and finish activities to recognize and ensure “First-Quality” prescriptions in product cosmetics and alignment.
• Understand special or unique requirements of specific laboratory customers regarding product delivery.
• Serve as “quality advisor” to production supervisors and lab management as required by the Regional Operations Manager.
• Effectively troubleshoot production problems to achieve acceptable quality and service levels.
• Ensure compliance with Network Operations Uniform Processing System procedures, including calibration, prescription cosmetics, and form/fit of product.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
• Follow all company and manufacturer’s policies and procedures; comply with attendance and safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information.
• Assist others as needed to balance workload, meet deadlines, and maintain smooth operations.
• Cooperate with production supervisors and colleagues; demonstrate a positive attitude.
• Perform an acceptable quantity and quality of work on time.
• Provide training, work direction, and technical guidance to less experienced employees.
• Attend in-house or sponsored training meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work with hazardous substances/chemicals, requiring safety training.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years of production experience.
• Knowledge of ANSI standards applicable to eyewear.
• Near vision capability of 20/40 or better (with or without corrective lenses).
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
