Quality Auditor - First Article Inspection (Hybrid - San Antonio, TX)
About the role
We are seeking qualified contractors to fulfill the role of FAI Quality Auditor, who will provide functional and/or technical support for resolution of customer problems, incidents, issues, requests, and queries. Contractors will support teams or product teams as required to resolve requests/issues in a timely manner. They will ensure proper documentation, notification, escalation, tracking, and follow-up of all incidents. This is a hybrid role with hours from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. CST, with regular attendance on Tuesdays.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize, review, and deliver First Article Inspections (FAI’s) for sustaining parts and development projects
- Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) assessments per AS9102 for verification of customer/client requirements
- Track metrics continually to meet the increasing FAI load throughout the year
- Develop and operate quality management systems to drive quality excellence and business performance
- Manage process improvement efforts using quality methodologies and principles
- Identify and assess enterprise risks, developing an integrated approach to actively manage those risks
- Analyze designated performance measures and reports to ensure work is consistently and effectively performed
- Deliver assurance, quoting, and supply chain support as aligned to contract details
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Reside in San Antonio, TX
- Attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Communication skills
- Understanding of data sensitivity/security
- 6 months of experience in professional office setting
- Earned Associates or Bachelors degree in Business or related field from an accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry
- 6+ months working knowledge in MS Office Suite: Excel and Outlook
- 6+ months supply chain/procurement or delivery assurance experience
- 6+ months working knowledge with SAP ERP

Pay
The hourly range for this role is as follows:
- California: $22.00 to $33.00
- Colorado: $20.50 to $29.50
- Cleveland, OH: $19.00 to $27.00
- Washington, DC: $24.00 to $35.00
- Illinois: $21.00 to $30.00
- Maine: $20.00 to $28.00
- Maryland: $22.50 to $31.50
- Massachusetts: $24.50 to $34.50
- Minnesota: $21.00 to $29.00
- New York: $23.50 to $34.00
- New Jersey: $23.00 to $33.00
- Virginia: $21.50 to $30.00
- Washington State: $25.00 to $36.00
Schedule
This is a hybrid role with hours from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. CST. Regular attendance on Tuesdays is required, with the rest of the time being work from home.
