Quality Auditor

Responsibilities
- Audits processes, tests and inspects products and/or develops, compiles and evaluates statistical data to define and maintain quality and reliability of products.
- Selects processes to be audited from primarily the manufacturing areas and checks for a variety of features, including ESD (electro-static discharge) and handling practices, documentation, training and process integrity.
- Performs receiving inspection and develop Incoming Quality Control Plans.
- Scrap disposition at MRB in less than 24 hours.
- Utilizes Microsoft Office including Excel charts and pivot tables and PowerPoint presentations to record audit data, apply statistical quality control procedures, evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Provides factory holds to identify and resolve issues associated with purchased parts, materials and manufacturing.
- Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards, programs or reports to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
- Downloads quality information from quality system to be used for QA reports.
- Performs out of box audits (OBA) as required.
- Validates the tooling and gauges are working properly.
- Sends gages out for calibration, maintains calibration records.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Demonstrates advanced functional skills, which may be used to conduct on-the-job training and/or lead/guide other employees.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
