Quality Auditor

Schedule

• 3 ½ day work week with a 4-week work day rotation
• Availability to work all shifts, flexible hours, flexible days/evenings including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Input quality attributes and monitor product quality throughout the production process
• Communicate quality concerns, trends, and issues with Production personnel and leadership
• Collect, evaluate, and document daily samples
• Promote and support a safe work environment, including compliance with all PPE requirements
• Provide departmental coverage as needed
• Participate in cross-training and become proficient in all Quality Assurance functions
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation
• Knowledgeable in Hide Brand Sortation
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management

This is a safety-sensitive, on-site position.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and write in English
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills (high school diploma or equivalent)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery (2–5 years of manufacturing experience in a tannery or previous Quality Assurance position)
• Manual dexterity for operating machinery and computers
• Conceptual/analytical thinking
• Attention to detail
• Problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated and self-starter
• Maintain confidentiality
• Basic computer skills
• Understanding of various quality aspects
• Able to lift hides up to 100 lbs
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship provided)
