Job Overview
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality control plans and procedures for various projects.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and reviews of project sites, materials, and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and client requirements.
- Identify, document, and report non-conformances and collaborate with project teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Oversee the testing and inspection of materials, equipment, and completed work to verify adherence to quality benchmarks.
- Train and educate project personnel on quality control principles, procedures, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality control activities, inspection results, and corrective actions.
- Participate in project planning and design phases to incorporate quality considerations from the outset.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure a shared understanding and commitment to quality.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive quality reports to management and clients.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes related to quality assurance and control.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure industries.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and relevant industry standards.
- Proven ability to conduct inspections, audits, and non-conformance reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with project teams, clients, and regulatory bodies.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
- Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or similar are a plus.
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
