About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Assurance Technician / Inspector to join our team supporting aviation manufacturing and supply chain operations. This is a great opportunity for someone starting their career in quality, manufacturing, or aerospace.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in inspections of parts and materials (incoming, in-process, and final) to ensure they meet quality requirements
  • Utilize inspection tools and equipment to perform basic dimensional and functional checks
  • Review drawings, work instructions, and specifications with guidance to verify product requirements
  • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation for traceability and compliance
  • Support audits by gathering information and ensuring processes follow company and industry standards (AS9100/ISO)
  • Assist with identifying and documenting nonconforming materials and supporting corrective action efforts
  • Work with suppliers by reviewing documentation, tracking issues, and helping resolve quality concerns
  • Track and report quality data, metrics, and trends using Excel and other tools
  • Collaborate with teams such as manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to support quality and production goals
  • Attend customer and internal meetings as needed to support quality requirements
  • Perform inventory checks, receiving inspections, and general warehouse quality activities

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or technical training is a plus)
  • 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, logistics, or a related field (internships or school projects count)
  • Willingness to learn quality systems and processes
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework or training in manufacturing, engineering, or quality
  • Exposure to quality standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100
  • Experience with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Familiarity with warehouse or production environments
  • Basic understanding of data tracking or reporting

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Ability to perform tasks involving bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
