Requirements
- Minimal computer skills and/or willingness to learn company software to complete job assignments
- Ability to move, open, and inspect plant-produced products
- Ability to stand on concrete surfaces up to four continuous hours with a minimum of 8 hours per shift
- Physical ability to navigate all areas of the processing facility and follow all safety procedures
- Ability to perform strenuous work in a damp environment with a wide range of temperatures
- Dependable, prompt, with strong integrity and work ethic
- Ability to work independently and uphold company values, Quality Pillar, and FSQA programs
- Ability to understand and follow instructions and learn poultry processing methods and practices
- Compliance with all Food Safety Quality Assurance policies and USDA regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Model and coach facility team members on expectations and compliance
- Complete inspections to verify product meets internal and customer specifications; take appropriate actions for non-compliance
- Accurately conduct product reviews for grading, packaging, and weight compliance
- Monitor team members' work practices and address deficiencies by informing team members and reporting to supervisors
- Monitor product processing areas to mitigate foreign material contamination risks
- Inspect equipment for cleanliness and proper working condition prior to startup or during process; record findings legibly
- Collect, track, and implement numerical data
- Communicate properly with all levels of management and USDA
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with coworkers and leadership teams
- Work varying days, including weekends, when processing schedules change
