Quality Assurance Technician

This Quality Assurance Technician (Inspector) position supports the Linear Transfer Systems team in Simsbury, CT, providing effective verification of products and certification packages against requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspection of components and assemblies.
• Maintain accurate, neat, and complete inspection records.
• Keep work area organized and clean, following all established safety guidelines.
• Work within a team structure to achieve company and department goals.
• Utilize standard inspection tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, and shadow graphs.
• Read and interpret prints using Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T).
• Read and understand military specifications and industry standards.
• Effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management.
• Perform additional duties related to specific area assignments when requested.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
• 5+ years of experience, ideally within a technical field or in an aerospace or defense-related company.
• Knowledge of ISO/AS procedures (a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret prints using Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T).
• Must be able to read and understand military specifications and industry standards.
• Proficient in reading and understanding English.
• High attention to detail and strong initiative as a self-starter.
• Positive attitude when priorities change.
• Basic PC fundamentals; knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
