Quality Assurance Technician - 2nd Shift
About the role
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our 2nd Shift team, working Monday–Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. (10-hour shifts). Flexibility is required to support business needs, including occasional 1st Shift coverage, starting up to one hour before the scheduled shift, overtime, and rotating Friday coverage as needed.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, evaluate, document, and record finished goods production.
- Ensure all specified on-line quality checks are performed properly and on a timely basis.
- Document testing, product holds, internal investigations, and root cause analysis.
- Issue labels to fulfill production requirements per the Production Schedule.
- Review production line parameters and performance for adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Guidelines, and Facility Procedures.
- Report all online inspections and document the findings.
- Test samples (in process and finished goods) for physical and chemical properties for adherence to Quality Specifications.
- Generate and ship samples for outside analytical testing.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred).
- 1 or more years of Quality Assurance with lab and documentation experience (Required).
- Experience in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food/beverage, plastics or paper manufacturing (strongly preferred).
- Basic understanding of wet chemistry techniques (titrations, refractive index, specific gravity, viscosity, pH analysis, etc.).
- Basic understanding of following Standard Operating Procedures.
- Familiarity with ERP or laboratory quality systems (e.g., QMS) preferred.
- Full understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Full understanding of test methods and quality control techniques as they pertain to plant quality.
- Good organizational skills with proficiency in MS Office programs.
- Ability to make quick decisions as necessary to qualify plant production standards.
- Ability to multi-task effectively, as more than one line runs frequently.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift, carry, stand, climb, bend, squat, and walk safely, as necessary.
- Ability to work in hot, humid, and cold environments.
- Ability to work around liquid chlorine and ammonia fumes, using all required personal protective equipment.
- Consistent adherence to all PPE, safety, and quality (QA SOP) requirements.
Skills

Pay
This position pays a base hourly rate of $24.00 per hour.
