Quality Assurance Technician (1st Shift)

Duties

• Support production work, check products using your senses (like sight and smell), and inspect items during and after production to make sure they are correct and have no defects.
• Make sure all paperwork is filled out completely and correctly.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure product quality.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Support Operations Departments with performing accurate and timely inspections, sample (taste and smell) testing of all in process bulk and finished products.
• Inspect production rooms for cleanliness, equipment safety and function.
• Perform ATP and Allergen Swabbing.
• Ensure all products and materials meet quality specifications and customer requirements.
• Maintain clean work area and equipment always.
• Accept directions and follow instructions of QA Manager, Supervisor and/or Lead.
• Retain a clear understanding of the company GMPs and SOPs.
• Follow all safety policies and ensure work environment is free of safety hazards and all employees are working safely.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be able to read and comprehend instructions and hold general conversations in English.
• Must possess ability to taste and visually inspect product for consistency.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Bilingual a plus but not required.
• Skilled in monitoring, analyzing, critical thinking, and active listening.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, orientation to quality, problem sensitivity, problem solving, and ability to take initiative.
• Knowledge of food production processing, cGMP’s, regulatory environments, and basic computer data entry.

Pay

Pay Rate: 1st Shift - $20.75/hour
