Quality Assurance Team Member
About the role
The Quality Assurance Technician (QAT) plays a critical role in ensuring that all components, assemblies, and finished products meet engineering specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements throughout the entire manufacturing process. This position supports end-to-end quality assurance, from incoming materials and in-process inspections to final product validation.
Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials, components, and finished equipment to ensure compliance with specifications
- Conduct dock audits, quality audits, and process verifications to validate adherence to standards
- Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and testing equipment
- Evaluate product quality against engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality requirements
- Accurately record and maintain inspection results, test data, and quality documentation
- Analyze inspection and test data to identify trends, defects, and process inefficiencies
- Communicate findings to production teams, supervisors, and leadership to support decision-making
- Maintain both electronic and hardcopy quality records in compliance with company standards
- Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials, products, and processes
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) initiatives
- Support or coordinate repair and rework activities to resolve quality defects
- Recommend and implement improvements to reduce scrap, rework, and production downtime
- Apply continuous improvement tools and lean methodologies to enhance quality performance
- Affirmative Action Plan: Support the implementation of affirmative action programs to ensure a diverse and inclusive workplace
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in quality assurance or manufacturing environment
- Experience with inspection tools, measurement techniques, and quality documentation
- Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Quality, Manufacturing, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in quality assurance within heavy manufacturing or industrial environments
- Experience with ISO standards, quality management systems (QMS), or regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with hazardous materials handling and labelling requirements
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) or data analysis tools
Skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data to drive decisions
- Understanding of quality methodologies, inspection processes, and manufacturing workflows
- Ability to identify issues and recommend practical, data-driven solutions

Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Full-time, non-exempt. Flexible schedule, including Friday - Sunday 6am - 6pm.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work flexible schedule, including Friday - Sunday 6am - 6pm
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently and/or move up to 35lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs
- Must be able to perform continuous, repetitious physical activities
- Must be able to grasp/pinch small items, reach out and up, and turn wrist
- Must be capable of keeping pace with current production speed
- Must be able to work in multiple climates including hot/cold temperatures, and dusty environment
