GENERAL SUMMARY
A Quality Assurance Supervisor responsible for ensuring quality of products/services through inspections, documentation, and corrective actions.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enforce QA program meeting Delphinus Engineering, Inc-MSD Quality Management Systems requirements.
- Routine site visits and coordination with production supervisors for quality and contractual compliance.
- Interface with government quality personnel and support NAVSEA Standard Item checkpoints.
- Train inspectors on proper techniques, documentation, and precision measuring devices.
- Conduct internal audits and perform root cause analysis.
- Review and certify TWDs and OQE documents.
- Provide feedback and recommend process improvements.
- Track and analyze quality metrics.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma, trade, or industrial school degree, or GED equivalent.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Seven years of experience in quality assurance and control inspections on naval ship systems.
- Five years of specialized experience in inspecting, reviewing, and certifying work on systems/components.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual Quality requirements, and NAVSEA Standard Items.
- Knowledge of naval shipboard systems, reading and interpreting blueprints, and using Microsoft Office applications.
- Criminal background check and security badge required.
- Possession of a passport.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience in Navy Maintenance Database (NMD) reporting.
- Experience with receipt inspection, handling, and storage of controlled materials.
- Quality assurance inspections and supervision on submarine systems/components.
- Working knowledge of welding, brazing, and NDT processes.
