Darigold is seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Supervisor to join the team at our Portland plant. As a member of the Portland team, the Quality Assurance Supervisor will be a partner in the Operations Division and is responsible for the daily supervision of the plant quality and food safety programs. What You Will Do Perform timely records review, monitor compliance with specifications, methods and procedures, GMP, HACCP and food safety programsDirect internal audit program to verify compliance to regulatory and internal requirements. Track and report results and identify trends. Drive completion of corrective actions resulting from the internal audit programResponsible for the overall corrective action/preventive action program. Tracks and follows up on open action items and reports completionProvide technical support in the implementation of Appendix N program including training and correction of deficienciesConduct routine plant inspection to verify compliance to regulatory requirements from milk receiving to shipping of finished productsEnvironmental monitoring and sanitation monitoring by conducting and directing the associated programs. Gives regular updates to management on the state of open environmental sites and makes appropriate recommendations to managementTrain and review of methodologies, SOP’s, performance and techniques of hourly employeesReport monthly scheduled training completion to plant managementTimely metal detection document review to validate the efficacy of proceduresMonitor CIP systems and documentation to ensure proper cleaning. Validate records and compliance with established parametersResponsible for investigating and following up on any reported food safety or quality concernsTrack, trend and report key quality measuresMaintain plant Quality and Food Safety ScorecardMaintain plant Kosher, Organic, and Validus programsTimely customer complaint investigation, resolution and reportingThird party audit preparation, review and responseSpecial projects as neededTrouble-shooting plant quality issuesProduct development and equipment commissioning activities What You Will Bring Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong leadership skillsExcellent organizational skillsProficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to deal effectively with all plant employeesGood technical understanding of manufactured dairy productsAbility to troubleshoot quality issues in a manufacturing environmentBS in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, or Chemistry2-5 years of experience in the food industry preferred Benefits Of Working At Darigold We understand that as an employee, benefits that support you and your family in and out of work are important.
