Quality Assurance Supervisor
Role And Responsibilities
- Provides direct leadership and mentoring of QA techs and is responsible for their performance with respect to quality.
- Supervises quality functions in the facility implementing and ensuring systems are in place to adhere to the company's quality operating standards.
- Responds to reports on food safety and food quality issues.
- Provides point leadership on quality incidents and directs and controls all activities to closure.
- Leads quality improvement efforts working with all staff as required.
- Leads and guides all work to control products and prevent further incidents by implementing effective solutions.
- Executes both internal and external activities to ensure all adversely affected products are placed on hold.
- Shares responsibility with production manager to ensure that plant sanitation requirements are met.
- Train on FSQA procedures, policy, and programs.
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Manage EMP schedule.
- Manage Allergen verifications and validations.
- Manage sanitation verification and validation process.
Food Safety And Quality Responsibilities
Develop, implement, review, maintain, communicate, take actions, and overall ensure the integrity and validity of the company's food safety and quality.
Qualifications For Skills & Experience
- Minimum Education: Associate degree and/or ample experience in the food industry – bachelor's preferred.
- Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining HACCP plans.
- Formal, documented HACCP training (required).
- Experience working in food manufacturing.
- Understanding of various analytical and testing methods.
- Experience with and understanding of verification and validation processes for equipment, processes, and product specifications.
- Strong computer skills including the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

This is a Contract position based out of Elmwood Park, NJ.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
