Job Summary
This Quality Assurance position works closely with Quality Assurance leadership to assess and improve manufacturing processes through testing, inspection, and verification activities.Key Responsibilities
- Perform Quality Assurance inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Perform inspections of mechanical, electrical, and electronic subsystems.
- Inspect components during fabrication, installation, assembly, testing, modifications, or repairs.
- Perform product verification via Mandatory Inspection Points and Government Mandatory Inspection Points.
- May perform receiving inspection on test articles, and test support equipment.
- Document discrepancies for facilities and hardware.
- Witness assembly of hardware and facility/test buildup.
- Witness and verify technician workmanship.
- Witness test build-up configuration and tests.
- Verify contamination control requirements.
- Adhere to published safety procedures.
Job Requirements
- Education and Experience: High School Degree or equivalent and 5+ years of quality assurance experience in in the manufacturing, assembly, and testing of critical hardware.
- Required Skills and Traits: Highly skilled with quality assurance procedures and techniques, pertinent regulations and program requirements and quality management systems; competency with desktop software applications, MS Office is required; clear written and verbal communication skills; strong problem-solving and analytical skills; sound judgment and decision-making ability; initiative and a results-driven mindset; high level of thoroughness and attention to detail; strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment; customer-service orientation with strong interpersonal skills.
Additional Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- This is a Full-time position Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (No travel expected).
- Ability to work in a professional office environment and routinely use standard office equipment (computer, phone, copier, filing cabinets, etc.).
- Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
- Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to learn new tasks quickly with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time; climb; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl. Employees must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
