Job Summary

This Quality Assurance position works closely with Quality Assurance leadership to assess and improve manufacturing processes through testing, inspection, and verification activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Quality Assurance inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Perform inspections of mechanical, electrical, and electronic subsystems.
  • Inspect components during fabrication, installation, assembly, testing, modifications, or repairs.
  • Perform product verification via Mandatory Inspection Points and Government Mandatory Inspection Points.
  • May perform receiving inspection on test articles, and test support equipment.
  • Document discrepancies for facilities and hardware.
  • Witness assembly of hardware and facility/test buildup.
  • Witness and verify technician workmanship.
  • Witness test build-up configuration and tests.
  • Verify contamination control requirements.
  • Adhere to published safety procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Education and Experience: High School Degree or equivalent and 5+ years of quality assurance experience in in the manufacturing, assembly, and testing of critical hardware.
  • Required Skills and Traits: Highly skilled with quality assurance procedures and techniques, pertinent regulations and program requirements and quality management systems; competency with desktop software applications, MS Office is required; clear written and verbal communication skills; strong problem-solving and analytical skills; sound judgment and decision-making ability; initiative and a results-driven mindset; high level of thoroughness and attention to detail; strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment; customer-service orientation with strong interpersonal skills.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • This is a Full-time position Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (No travel expected).
  • Ability to work in a professional office environment and routinely use standard office equipment (computer, phone, copier, filing cabinets, etc.).
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
  • Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to learn new tasks quickly with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time; climb; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl. Employees must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
