About the role
This position supports our NASA customer on the Marshall Engineering Technicians and Trades Support contract (METTS) and is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance by managing quality assurance activities, conducting audits, analyzing documentation, and guiding others using extensive experience.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
- Conducting audits and reviews
- Analyzing data and documentation
- May lead and direct the work of others
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution or 5 years of directly related experience
- Familiarity with a variety of quality assurance concepts, practices, and procedures
- Must meet eligibility for a Public Trust background investigation for government-issued credentials and IT access; must pass a security background check per Redstone Arsenal/MSFC requirements
- Must provide two (2) forms of Federal I-9 documents and a REAL ID-compliant identification to gain access to RSA and MSFC (name must match on both forms of ID, be original, and unexpired)

- Previous NASA experience
Work Environment
- Environmentally controlled, heated, and cooled shop area subject to machinery noise
- Occasional outdoor work
- Ability to lift up to twenty pounds on an occasional basis
- Sit or stand for extended periods of time
- May require walking, bending, climbing stairs, and navigating shop/machine work areas
- May require occasional overtime and second or third shift support for 24/7 onsite or on-call support based on customer needs and contract requirements

- All positions supporting the METTS III contract are contingent upon successful completion of NASA medical screenings at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter (determined by the Safety, Health, and Environmental Job Assessment Questionnaire)
