About the role

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products. This is a hands-on role for an organized and detail-oriented individual who will perform inspections, testing, and documentation activities while working closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, a disciplined approach to documentation, and the ability to communicate quality concerns effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming materials, subassemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and engineering specifications.
  • Perform dimensional inspections, measurements, and functional testing using standard inspection equipment and tools.
  • Review and interpret manufacturing work instructions, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality procedures.
  • Document inspection results, test data, and quality findings accurately and completely.
  • Identify non-conforming materials and products and support containment activities.
  • Assist with root cause investigations and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and product quality to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Support internal and external quality audits and maintain quality records as required.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, and Operations teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Verify implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Communicate quality concerns, inspection findings, and trends in a timely manner.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Travel between Burlington, Haverhill, and Ayer facilities as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, Technical School Certificate, Associate degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing inspection, or a related environment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience using measuring and inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Experience identifying and documenting non-conformances.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting quality systems in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies or complex system manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform detailed visual inspections of parts and assemblies.
  • Manual dexterity required for handling components, measuring devices, and inspection equipment.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and move throughout production areas.

Location: Burlington, MA. Relocation assistance is not available. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship is not provided.
