Quality Assurance Specialist

This job is located at the Port Allen Pipe Fabrication Facility in Port Allen, LA.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-driven Quality Assurance Specialist to support our pipe fabrication operations. This role ensures compliance with codes of construction while managing critical quality documentation and inspection activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage welder qualifications, continuity tracking, and ASME Section IX compliance
• Review project specifications before and after project awards
• Partner with Project Managers and the Engineering Department during job set-up
• Prepare and submit quality documents to clients, and track/resolve returned comments
• Develop project inspection & test plans and coordinate quality requirements
• Attend pre-inspection meetings and communicate expectations to internal teams

Requirements

• Experience in pipe fabrication QA/QC or industrial inspection
• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.1, and Section IX
• Ability to read piping isometrics, weld symbols, and technical specifications
• CWI preferred
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with the Google platform
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to organize workload
• Ability to adapt quickly to change and deliver under pressure

• Must wear job site Personal Protective Equipment (hearing protection, safety glasses, long sleeve shirt, gloves, steel toe boots, etc.) when in shop/yard areas

There will be times the individual may be required to perform tasks outside their normal responsibilities as demanded by the job.
