About the role

The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring product quality and process consistency across manufacturing operations. This role supports quality assurance efforts through process audits, document control, quality inspections, training support, and analysis of product returns and quality issues. The role requires strong attention to detail, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to collaborate across departments to maintain and improve quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform process audits and inspections to ensure compliance with SOPs and quality standards.
  • Monitor production for defects and non-conformities, document, report, and support corrective actions.
  • Investigate quality issues and product returns; assist with root cause analysis and containment.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for production quality issues, escalating critical concerns as needed.
  • Support quality documentation, alerts, and training related to quality events and process improvements.
  • Oversee and support Quality Inspectors to ensure consistent inspection practices.
  • Partner with production and operations teams to promote safe, effective, and compliant work practices.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide operational support as needed, including overtime or weekends.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • A High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of quality systems and quality assurance processes.
  • Experience with internal auditing, inspection, training, or document control preferred.
  • Industrial or production environment experience required.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify defects and process inconsistencies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Demonstrated team-oriented mindset and continuous improvement focus.
  • Ability to support and guide production teams in maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications
