About The Role
The Quality Assurance Specialist position at PSI offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) under the Independent Enterprise Testing and Support Services (IETSS) contract. This role is integral to the Test Management and Operations (TMO) Testing Process Quality Improvement (TPQI) Support team, focusing on enhancing quality processes, workflows, and organizational standards. The specialist will support continuous improvement initiatives, conduct quality audits, and develop organizational policies to ensure compliance and efficiency. The role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, including testing teams, system analysts, project managers, and external vendors, to drive quality assurance and process optimization across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a recognized technical, engineering, scientific, managerial, business, or related discipline, or an associate degree with two years of relevant experience
- Four (4) years of documented relevant experience or two (2) years with an associate degree
- Experience in developing and implementing quality assurance programs for complex projects
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams, and SharePoint
- Good understanding of organizational change management principles
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a thorough government background investigation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
- Experience with quality and process improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, DevOps, and Iterative
- Experience with AI tools for communication and process enhancement is a plus
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the implementation of a comprehensive quality and process improvement program across the organization
- Develop, review, and update processes and workflows in collaboration with stakeholders
- Support the Internal Quality Audit Program by conducting regular assessments of organizational processes
- Perform quality reviews of project documents, deliverables, and reports to ensure compliance with standards
- Research, analyze, and recommend solutions to meet current and future business needs
- Gather, analyze, and document user requirements by engaging with stakeholders
- Support quality and process improvement initiatives using established methodologies
- Assist in revising organizational policies, procedures, and documentation standards
- Utilize data analytics and metrics to monitor process performance and identify areas for improvement
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and develop corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans
- Manage and organize document repositories, ensuring accuracy and accessibility
- Work closely with testing teams, systems analysts, and project managers to ensure quality standards are maintained
- Mentor and coach team members on quality assurance best practices and documentation techniques
- Leverage AI tools to enhance communication, documentation, and process optimization efforts
