Quality Assurance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Work with the engineering team to test site updates (both customer facing web experience and internal backend tools) before they are deployed to production
• Develop test plans in advance of major releases
• Manually verify development changes meet requirements, are user-friendly, and bug-free
• Find, isolate, clearly document, and track bugs through resolution
• Help investigate and document reported bugs on production
• Provide internal support to employees experiencing trouble using company tools
• Help Product Manager refine and clarify design specifications prior to development

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in a technical QA role
• Proven track record finding, isolating, and clearly documenting defects others miss
• Hands-on with bug-tracking and test-case management tools (e.g., Jira/Linear, TestRail or equivalent)
• Comfortable testing complex ecommerce flows end to end, including checkout and payment
• Knowledge of the differences between frontend and backend technologies/languages
• Browser DevTools fluency (Chrome Developer Tools)
• Big plus - the ability to write basic SQL to verify data and reproduce issues
• Clear written communication - your bug reports are read by engineers and product alike
• Able to work calmly under pressure

Nice to Have

• Experience introducing or building test automation (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium)
• Familiarity with the ecommerce or luxury/apparel space
