Quality Assurance Specialist

About the role

The role of the Quality Assurance Specialist is to assist site-level designees in the continuous improvement of the site quality management system and ensure that processes and procedures are developed in line with applicable standards and customer requirements. The Quality Assurance Specialist will serve as a site leader in mentoring and assisting site quality designees in the development of the QMS and serve as an educator to the existing operational personnel on quality management system requirements.

Functions

• Conducts non-routine analysis and tests/inspections.
• Resolves most questions and problems and recommends necessary changes.
• Assists in the development of new methods and procedures.
• Identifies opportunities for improvement to the QMS and assists sites in implementing improvement projects.
• Administers corporate internal audit program to ensure compliance to the quality management system through training auditors, auditing processes and procedures, and measuring results.
• Identifies training needs and organizes training interventions to meet quality standards across multiple sites.
• Supports and assesses the implementation of the Kenco O/S as it relates to quality assurance.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field required or equivalent years of experience required.
• Equivalent years of experience is defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested.
• 2-4 years’ experience in a quality assurance role, regularity affairs experience (FDA, DEA, etc.) desired.
• Knowledge and experience with ISO 9001:2015.
• Experienced AIB or GFSI internal auditor.
