Quality Assurance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop and review quality management plans and maintenance policies for an aviation support facility.
• Conduct comprehensive quality assessments to identify issues and improve work processes and product quality.
• Serve as the primary authority on quality assurance, providing technical guidance to leadership and resolving related problems.
• Manage and maintain technical libraries, ensuring all directives and operating instructions are current and compliant.
• Monitor safety-of-flight and aviation safety action message programs, ensuring timely and effective execution.
• Investigate equipment failure trends and make recommendations for engineering design improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in quality assurance, particularly within a technical or maintenance environment.
• Strong analytical skills for assessing quality programs, identifying deviations, and developing corrective actions.
• Ability to interpret and apply technical manuals and regulatory guidelines.
• Experience with equipment inspection, calibration, and maintenance documentation.
• Capacity to perform management and compliance reviews across various functions.
• Active membership in the Virginia Army National Guard (E1/PVT - E8/MSG) or eligibility and willingness to join immediately.

Pay

Competitive annual salary between $64,475 and $83,822.
