As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you'll play a key role in protecting the integrity of our lending and deposit operations.

Responsibilities

  • Systematically review approved, denied, opened, and closed accounts and loans to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Audit documentation, review loan records, and verify the appropriateness of rates, terms, pledges, payment structures, and posting accuracy.
  • Research discrepancies by collaborating with lenders and operational teams, perform spot re-verification of employment, income, down payments, member eligibility, and vehicle values, and ensure ancillary products such as life insurance, disability insurance, GAP coverage, and warranties have been properly coded or added to loan balances when applicable.
  • Verify insurance coverage on financed vehicles, conduct follow-up reviews on identified discrepancies, and prepare meaningful reports for leadership regarding findings and trends.
  • In situations involving potential fraud, promptly notify appropriate FCCU officials.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and professional judgment while helping First Commerce maintain operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Significant financial services, banking, credit union, consumer lending, or commercial lending experience may substitute for a degree
  • 1–2 years of consumer lending or transaction experience required
  • Knowledge of consumer lending practices and loan and deposit policies and procedures
  • Previous experience auditing, reviewing, or evaluating work against established standards preferred
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills
  • Excellent written communication and reporting abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and follow through on corrective actions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multiple departments
