Qualifications

  • Experience: 2 years of operational and/or lending experience required.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, presentation, customer service, and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented; flexible; works well in a fast-paced team environment; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; strong PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, cView, and familiarity with consumer and real estate origination and servicing systems; good judgment; knowledge of Bellco’s front-line systems; ability to interpret data and make deductions; ability to work independently without supervision; multitasking and handling interruptions; ability to validate document batches and log findings; strong teamwork and collaboration skills; ability to develop and maintain quality documentation; ability to create and analyze core data for accuracy; ability to review reports and documents to ensure regulatory compliance; ability to assist with the development of procedures to detect and prevent errors; ability to assist with the Operations Support team with tasks such as processing checks, bonds, or foreign items; ability to review and submit invoices; regular and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

Assist with the evaluation and monitoring of quality assurance activities in the Operations Department. Perform audits on ARM notices, Insurance Ratings, MERS, Taxes, Unapplied funds, Real Estate Payoffs, and State National Flood reviews and reporting. Complete the annual HMDA review by the established deadline. Test and monitor processes and procedures, including accuracy of system interfaces, data file reviews, CORE system acceptance of deposit, real estate loan, and Fintech accounts. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve deficiencies in processes and procedures. Participate in team projects involving new product or system interface updates and testing or validation. Assist with QA for Insurance Ratings for PMI, MERS, Taxes, Flood, and Unapplied. Also assist with review on ARM Notices (Quarterly) and RE Payoffs (Quarterly). Help to complete Annual HMDA Review accurately and by the established deadline. This includes a review of data for all qualifying real estate lending products, including loading data into HMDA system of record and reviewing data for compliance and accuracy. Assist with review on all automated processes impacting CORE system interfaces, such as Velocity, CUDC, Temenos, Online Banking, and Fintechs. Assist with review of Real Estate system interface to verify automated uploading of loan accounts for accuracy, including QA review of mortgages acquired through correspondent channels. Assist with review of custom reports to ensure accuracy. Log and report findings in a comprehensive and organized manner. Validate document batches to limit risk exposure and frontline impact due to missing or unindexed required documents. Work directly with internal teams to resolve deviations and other compliance issues promptly. Assist with the performance of system, workflow, and process troubleshooting and resolution. This will include testing vital systems related to real estate loans. Participates in team projects where new products or system interfaces are presented. Develop and maintain quality documentation, such as validation protocols. Work with team members to create needed reports to review and analyze core data for accuracy, communicate and track all follow-up items through to completion. Assist with the development of procedures to detect and prevent the occurrence of deposit account errors, loan nonconformities, collateral or documentation. Collaborate with Training, the liaison team, and/or frontline for process improvement changes or training needs. Review reports and documents to ensure regulations and policies and procedures of the Credit Union are being followed, including but not limited to all HMDA, Reg Z, Truth in Lending, and TILA RESPA requirements. Assist Operations Support team with tasks as needed, including processing of checks, bonds or foreign items and review and submission of invoices.
