About the role

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play an integral role in ensuring we produce high-performance components for the aerospace industry. Your focus will include receiving, unpacking, and sorting incoming material, as well as identifying, packaging, and shipping finished product to ensure timely delivery to customers. You will use a variety of inspection devices—including calipers, micrometers, and automated inspection equipment—to inspect finished machined components and ensure they meet ATI’s and our customers’ quality, reliability, and safety standards.

A successful Quality Assurance Technician is a problem-solver, safety-focused, understands the importance of precision and quality, and works collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Candidates must pass a pre-employment skills test, an eye and color exam, and an ATI forklift operator assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Distribute incoming materials to designated locations
  • Break down all used packaging materials and dispose of in proper refuse containers
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on dock locks, dock plates, overhead doors, and overhead cranes
  • Use various hand and power tools, including circular saw, hammer drill, bit driver, hammers, and pry bars
  • Safely use overhead crane, straps, and other custom lifting devices
  • Keep a clean and organized work area utilizing 5S methodology
  • Identify finished product using dot peen stamping machine and barcode scanning technologies
  • Maintain identification for product traceability

Requirements

  • 1 or more years in manufacturing
  • Proficient with computers and technology
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Must pass a pre-employment skills test, eye and color exam, and forklift operator assessment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 or more years experience operating CMM machines
  • Knowledge of dimensional gaging, primarily calipers and micrometers
  • Prior experience operating a forklift

  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team
  • Strong ability to learn how to operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and interpret its results

Schedule

Weekend night shift: Friday–Sunday, 5:00 PM–5:00 AM. Scheduled to work 36 hours but paid for 40. Includes an additional $1/hour shift differential for working the weekend night shift.
