Position Summary

Credits in-process audits of manufactured goods and/or inspectors finished goods and raw materials for compliance with specifications. Maintains and reports audit and inspection results.

Essential Job Functions

  • Product inspection to Device Master Record and/or Device History Record
  • Data preparation for analysis and presentation by others.
  • Excel Spreadsheet generation and manipulation for analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Affirms scheduled specification reviews and ensures that the latest revision of specifications is maintained and referenced.
  • Performs scheduled finished goods and raw material inspections in compliance with MAI Standard Operating Procedures which may include the use of calibrated measuring devices.
  • Maintains sample history files for all received artwork (if applicable).
  • Maintains records of all inspection results and acceptance and rejection activities in ERP system and in incoming inspection folders.
  • Ensures non-conforming materials are placed on hold per MAI Standard Operating Procedure and documents disposition in ERP system.
  • Communicates product failures to QA Management.
  • Motivates the Team to maintain focus on what needs to be done.
  • Provides opportunities for improvement and discipline when needed.
  • Ensures everyone involved in the QA process is working towards a common goal each day.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience Required: High School Diploma, General Education Degree, or equivalent, required. One-year certificate from college or technical school, preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.
  • Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hands. Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand.
  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
  • Visual Acuity: Closely viewing in order to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Talking is important for those activities in which workers must impart oral information to clients or to the public, and in those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds. Hearing is important for those activities which require ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on running engines.

Hours

6:30 AM-2:30 PM M-F (Mandatory Overtime may be a requirement/ which may also include Saturdays)

$18.00 Hourly
