About the role
REEL USA has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance & Quality Control Manager to support the quality assurance and control activities. The role involves ensuring products, materials, and processes meet the highest quality standards, overseeing quality control from material reception to final delivery, and supporting the quality system.
Responsibilities
- Work in a safe manner while following plant policies and procedures.
- Oversee quality control on material reception, in-process fabrication/assembly, and final delivery.
- Support the quality assurance program as needed.
- Coach, provide direction, train, and assess performance of the quality team.
- Perform quality control, including dimensional inspection, hardness measurement, and paint inspection.
- Develop and lead the quality team.
- Participate in the creation, maintenance, and management of quality records.
- Write inspection reports and other quality documents.
- Manage non-compliance reports (writing, follow-up, and closure).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Quality Assurance, Quality Management, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in quality inspection in a manufacturing facility, preferably in a regulated environment (e.g., automotive, aerospace, nuclear, etc.).
- Proven experience in writing and maintaining quality processes and procedures in a QMS environment.
- Leadership and previous management of a team.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Autonomy and strong attention to detail.
- Knowledgeable about metrology, materials, calibration, auditing, and inspection techniques with demonstrated ability to utilize relevant hand tools for these purposes.
- Knowledgeable and familiar with ISO 9001, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Good Documentation Practices and understand the concept of traceability (product, material, and calibration).
- Willing and able to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Able to work independently as well.
- Self-motivated with a track record of dependability including work history.
- Proven positive safety, health, and environmental record.
- Familiar with topics such as personal protective equipment, lockout / tagout, hot work, safe work permitting, emergency response, and hazard awareness.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and react effectively in critical situations.
- Experience with accident and near miss reporting, incident investigation, and accountability to standards.
- Good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and good touch perception.
- Physical requirements include but not limited to climbing stairs and ladders, standing, sitting, kneeling, squatting for extended periods, working at heights ladders, and/or grating.
- Be able to distinguish visual colors and shapes through location and maintain through the course of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working under NQA-1 and/or ASME quality requirements.
- Experience working under AISC and AWS quality requirements.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position (not eligible for overtime), and the working hours may vary from Monday through Friday (8-hour days) or Monday through Thursday (10-hour days).
