Quality Assurance Quality Control Inspector

About the Role

Marketech International Corporation USA is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA/QC Inspector to support quality assurance and quality control activities for semiconductor, cleanroom, and high-tech facility construction projects. The QA/QC Inspector will perform field inspections and verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, Inspection and Test Plans, applicable codes and standards, client requirements, and project quality procedures. This role may support chemical distribution systems, process piping, mechanical and electrical utilities, cleanroom systems, UPW and wastewater systems, tool installation, and related facility infrastructure.

This position works closely with the QA/QC Manager, project managers, engineers, superintendents, field supervisors, subcontractors, vendors, third-party inspectors, and client representatives. The ideal candidate is organized, observant, comfortable working in active construction environments, and able to document deficiencies clearly and follow corrective actions through final closure.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, pre-installation, in-process, final, turnover, and closeout inspections in accordance with approved project requirements.
• Inspect construction materials, equipment, components, installations, and completed work for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, submittals, codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Verify workmanship, dimensions, routing, alignment, slope, supports, labeling, identification, cleanliness, protection, accessibility, and overall installation quality.
• Inspect piping, valves, fittings, supports, equipment skids, mechanical systems, electrical installations, utilities, cleanroom systems, and other assigned project scopes.
• Confirm that materials and components match approved submittals, material certifications, component tags, and project traceability requirements.
• Witness and document required inspections and tests, which may include pressure tests, leak tests, flushing, cleaning, functional checks, and other project-specific testing activities.
• Verify that required hold points and witness points are completed and approved before work proceeds.
• Conduct field walks, identify incomplete or deficient work, and prepare punch-list items for correction.
• Reinspect corrected or reworked items and confirm compliance before recommending closure.
• Follow approved Quality Control Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, method statements, inspection checklists, project specifications, and quality procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily inspection reports, checklists, photographs, test records, punch lists, deficiency reports, and related QA/QC documentation.
• Maintain inspection logs, testing logs, material-receiving records, calibration records, Nonconformance Report logs, and corrective-action trackers.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, P&IDs, isometric drawings, RFIs, submittals, material approvals, and technical procedures applicable to assigned inspections.
• Verify that inspection records are complete, current, traceable, properly approved, and available for audits, client reviews, turnover, and closeout.
• Confirm that inspection and testing equipment has current calibration documentation when required.
• Support the compilation and review of turnover packages, test packages, inspection records, and final quality documentation.
• Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy quality records in accordance with document-control requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; technical training, trade education, or an associate degree in construction, engineering technology, quality, or a related field is preferred.
• Two or more years of QA/QC inspection, construction inspection, field quality, or related experience in industrial, commercial construction, MEP, manufacturing, facility, or infrastructure projects. Semiconductor, cleanroom, or high-tech construction experience may substitute for a portion of the general experience requirement.
• Experience conducting field inspections and accurately documenting results, deficiencies, corrective actions, and closeout status.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, P&IDs, isometric drawings, submittals, technical procedures, and project requirements.
• Working knowledge of Inspection and Test Plans, inspection checklists, Nonconformance Reports, RFIs, method statements, quality plans, and project quality records.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize workmanship concerns, material discrepancies, incomplete work, and documentation gaps.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic document-management or construction-management systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors, tradespeople, engineers, superintendents, project managers, inspectors, and client representatives.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in active construction, cleanroom, industrial, semiconductor, and high-tech facility environments.
• Ability to conduct frequent site walks and safely access assigned inspection areas while wearing required personal protective equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting semiconductor fabs, cleanrooms, chemical distribution systems, process piping, gas systems, DI water, UPW, wastewater treatment, tool installation, MEP systems, or other high-tech facility projects.
• Experience inspecting piping systems, valves, fittings, supports, welds, mechanical equipment, electrical installations, or facility utilities.
• Experience reviewing material certifications, weld records, calibration records, pressure-test packages, test reports, inspection packages, and turnover documentation.
• Experience coordinating third-party inspections, client inspections, testing activities, commissioning support, or construction closeout.
• Familiarity with relevant standards and codes, such as IBC, IFC, NEC, NFPA, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, or SMACNA.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Smartsheet, or similar systems.
• Relevant quality, inspection, welding, piping, electrical, or construction certification, such as Certified Welding Inspector or an ASQ certification.
• OSHA 10, OSHA 30, or another applicable site-safety certification.
• Bilingual English and Mandarin Chinese communication skills are a plus but not required.

Work Environment

This is a full-time onsite role supporting semiconductor, cleanroom, industrial, and high-tech facility construction projects. Work may occur in field offices, active construction areas, cleanroom environments, fab and sub-fab spaces, utility areas, equipment rooms, and other project locations.

The QA/QC Inspector must be comfortable conducting frequent site walks, participating in inspections and testing activities, reviewing construction work, coordinating with field teams, and wearing required personal protective equipment. The position requires the ability to manage changing project priorities, respond to time-sensitive inspection needs, and maintain accurate quality documentation in a fast-paced construction environment.
