Position Summary
Inspector is responsible for validating process adherence on both the component and subsequent paperwork to the work instructions and all relevant specifications.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform tasks such as dimensional inspection, visual inspection, generate C of C in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications.
- May perform tasks such as chemical testing, assembly, disassembly, vibratory tumble, blending, peen, grit blast, masking/prep, vane install and operate CMM in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications.
- Performs all work in accordance with plant safety rules and maintains highest quality standards in the execution of all assigned work.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance on all machines and other routine labor work as required in accoardance with production flow.
- Inspector prepares necessary quality documents and confirms quality of own work using inspection tools in accordance with product specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
- Inspector to adhere to all 5s / CPEX policies and to have a continuous improvement mindset.
Education And Work Experience
- Must have HS Diploma or GED.
- Strong shop mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and fractions required.
- On the job experience of 3-5 years in manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must be able to follow instructions, read and interpret blue prints.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position will require the employee to wear the following specific PPE that will be provided by the company: Steel toes shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses.
- This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements.
- Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
