About the role

Chromalloy is a global engineering & solutions company providing aftermarket parts, repairs, and solutions for aircraft engines and gas turbines. We develop, manufacture, and repair critical turbine components for aerospace, energy, and defense industries worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely following all applicable health, safety, and environmental rules and policies.

  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Communicate effectively in English, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency and maintain quality standards.
  • Familiarize and understand applicable regulations, inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools.
  • Ensure inspections comply with regulatory authorities and approved data.
  • Ensure equipment and tools are in good working condition and calibrated.
  • Use calibrated tools and equipment to perform inspections.
  • Verify part numbers and serial numbers match paperwork.
  • Document inspections properly and report issues to Quality Management.
  • Maintain clean, orderly, and safe working conditions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in basic dimensional/visual inspection on aviation-related equipment (airframe, powerplant, and avionics).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, speak, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Read and interpret various types of precision measurement equipment and documents like OEM maintenance manuals, customer specifications, and regulatory authorities.
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Operate industrial trucks and electric hoists.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Effective communication with peers, subordinates, supervisors, and management personnel, customers, and auditors.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Effectiveness in stressful situations.
  • At least 1 year of relevant aviation work experience.
  • Airframe and Powerplant FAA certifications preferred.

Pay

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation is determined by multiple factors including relevant experience, education, certifications, job-related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. Chromalloy participates in E-Verify and conducts background investigations and drug screens as required by law.
